The goal of the website redesign was to enhance accessibility, ensuring compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and improving the overall user experience for all visitors. The project began with an accessibility audit, identifying key areas for improvement, such as color contrast, font sizes, and keyboard navigation. Recommendations were made to address these issues, focusing on creating a more inclusive online experience.

The redesign included implementing ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) roles, enhancing color contrast, and ensuring all images and videos had appropriate alt text. Additionally, the website’s navigation was optimized for keyboard and screen reader users, making it easier for individuals with disabilities to navigate and interact with the content. User testing with participants with various disabilities confirmed that the improvements significantly enhanced the site’s accessibility and usability.

Post-redesign, the website saw a marked increase in traffic from users with disabilities and received positive feedback from advocacy groups. The report recommends regular accessibility audits and user testing to maintain compliance with evolving guidelines and continue enhancing the user experience for all visitors.
